Yeager Youth Center

Host Homes are licensed and verified foster, operated by the Children’s Center, Inc.’s Albertine Yeager Youth Crisis Center, a child placing agency. These homes are designed specifically for “non-system” runaway and homeless youth to provide emergency shelter while safe return home or to other safe alternatives are established. Homes are under development in the 13-counties including the greater Houston & Galveston area to provide youth with options that may include continuation of relationships they have established in their local areas to include friends and positive adults concerned with their well-being. The Yeager Youth Center is named for Albertine Yeager who was a tireless advocate of children, and who opened her own home to care for orphaned and homeless children in Galveston in mid 1900s. We endeavor to find host families whose hearts and spirits are like Ms. Yeager’s who can offer the security every child so desperately needs.
